I started off so well this month with posting pictures,but I seem to be slacking now. Ach. In previous months (or years) I would say that I was playing too many games,but over the past week or so I’ve been inundated with work,so bear with me as I try to get some more pictures up soon. 
In the meantime,for those who haven’t,check out conceptart.org and drawingboard.org,two sites you can visit to view other people’s art work for inspiration. Conceptart.org‘s mission is to teach art as well,so check out their streaming and downloadable content (some you pay for) to learn more about how great artists practice their craft.
In an attempt to draw a more complete picture,I have decided to try my hand at drawing Jaelen,my Blood Elf Priestess from the World of Warcraft,with a fiery conflagration in the background (hey,I thought I would keep it simple). So this is a cropped portion of the picture at an early stage. I say early because it it still very rough,but it still took me a couple of hours to get to this point. I work slowly. Anyway,I may not post any updates until its complete,but then I’ll post a picture showing the evolution of the image. I have one last “month”of the calendar for Ultima Online that I started 2 years ago. I will do this last one a little differently by attempting it all digitally using Photoshop and Painter. Another attempt at Tali’Zorah? Hmm,maybe. . .
Ok,my brain wanted to try and draw Tali’Zorah from a reference of Julie Ordon,making some changes to her to make her look a bit more alien,but. . . . well,this is still a sketch. Let me see what I can do with it. Done in Painter with a new left shoulder courtesy of Photoshop. | ||
