Goldberry Hits Her Mark

Hey all! I just wanted to post the completed July Women of Roleplay Calendar — and it’s actually on time! Head on over to the official site for a larger version of the one you can see right here. Above are the complete inks, done mainly with micron pigma pens and finished off with photoshop. Whoo hoo! Enjoy, and Happy 4th of July for those living in the states!

You know, I don’t have a big piece of the ‘ol internet, but there is one thing that a website has to do: it has to work. The basic version of my site has always worked pretty well, but this sketchbook, which is run by wordpress via mysql, has been terribly, terribly slow as of late. Well, it’s been slow for quite awhile it seems. So last night and through part of today I made the switch over to a new host site. Hopefully you’ll see the difference in page loading speeds. I know I have. Of course, since I had to change the nameservers some of you may notice this site will be dark for a day or two, but hopefully not.

Hey there everyone. If you have been following the belated postings of the monthly calendar pictures, you’ll notice, among other things, that characters who are seen in more than one month have one thing in common — they have very little in common. Although I did some quick concept sketches of the various women prior to drawing the calendar, with each month I tend to draw various people a little differently (ie, Solar Maid et al).  I should try a bit harder to be more consistent, but it’s fun to revisit the same character in different ways each month.  That being said, I thought I would share some concept art which was originally designed to be used in the design of the calendar website.  Today is Lilah, but in the days to come I’ll put putting up some more of the ladies.

I can’t believe it’s finally done. It’s taken forever and a day, and I hope that Lady June, Ms. Willa, forgives me for that, but here it is, the June calendar for the UO Great Lakes Women of Roleplay Calendar. You can click on the picture above to see the black and white line art used for the picture, then you can check out the picture here on my site sans any text markup before heading over to the official site to download it to your desktop. I’ll post again soon, I promise! But for now I have to head out to dinne with some family to celebrate Father’s Day! Happy Father’s Day all you dad’s out there!

Right. So it’s near the middle of June and for all of my best intentions this month’s Women of Roleplay Calendar is not out yet. It’s nearly there, but just not quite yet. Above you can click on the picture for a larger view of Polynikes and a very tall Randal (which I’ll have to correct in the final piece) looking on at. . . well, at Carde coloring this month’s calendar I suppose. I’ll be likely be leaving any calendar graphic off of the final picture, given the lateness of the picture. Instead, it’ll be simply the featured Woman of Roleplay this month — Willa of the Yew Wood.
