Doh! I had forgotten about that! Your previous comment which I thought was ASKING to see an octopus, was actually informative that there already was one in the picture! I think my original drawing of the group of three (well, four) had that in mind, but I had forgotten it in the revised picture. (I really need to re-read the wiki.) So yes, ahem, these must the larger, jealous cousins who perhaps have a type of addiction to technology, taking something good, but perverting it to their own ends. . . .

Well, actually, the Octopi of Kalum Ru are quite helpful – in fact the founders of the FBG – and are small – carried in glass globes around an Orang’s neck (which is why I thought the Oct WAS in the pic…) However, I did hear a rumor that the small, benevolent species had a much larger cousin living near the poles of Kalum Ru that were rather opposed to the success and presumption of their cousins, and were quite tired of visitors to their ocean planet…

Yeah, it looks like a jetpack, but actually it’s a wearable Time and Space Manipulator. . . .or something like that. Here he is trying out for the second time and wishing his dog well (although Barney is more of a basset hound then a beagle in this picture). And you are right, that would make an intriguing title for a story.

That’s right, the Octopus! Those fellows aren’t the nicest of the sentient species, right? I need to do a picture with Timothy and one of them. I also need to flesh out the specifics of what he usually wears, his hairstyle,his watch, everything — I think the more each feature about him has a backstory then the more believable he will be as a character. Plus I need to make everything looking somewhat realistic, but somewhat cartoony at the same time. I figure that would be a good look for Timothy and the gang.

AND his Octopus. (Or perhaps “An Octopus and his Boy”…) I love the glasses. I wonder want Timothy is holding? But Tim’s hair, watch, sneakers, shorts – everything! – are just awesome. I like the ink style, too! I wonder what he’s holding??

I don’t know what it does, but that thing Timothy has is really cool. At first I thought it was “the weapon that wasn’t there”… which sounds like a really cool adventure “Timothy and the Weapon that Wasn’t There”

I remember doing that sketch. Sixx wasn’t sure if he wanted such a comic book/super hero sketch for his character, but in the end, he liked it. It’s a mixed bag for me to have those sketches up on the site — I cringe at some of those pictures (and heck even at my more recent ones, too) because I know I could do better, but you are right, it brings back good memories.

I used to play on great lakes, and when I saw your sketch of Sixx Moka it brought back a lot of memories. He looked just like the picture. Sometimes He would wear a red robe too. He was just as skilled with a sword as he was with a mace, but that war axe was his trademark weapon. Never one to shy away from a fight, I was amazed how he could run down a Dread Lord Grandmaster Mage and dash out their brains with a war axe.
