KING Week Friday

One of the more flashier characters I met while reading through my friend’s story is someone who we are only told a little about. It will be interesting to see how this character, shown above, interacts with the main protagonist and his would-be girlfriend.

While UO:KR has been giving me fits with its slow graphics rendering,I have been spending some time playing around with Lord of The Rings Online,World of Warcraft, drawing, and suprisingly enough, reading. I mentioned Ender’s Game earlier this week (which is awesome, again),but after I finished that I picked up Michael Chabon’s latest,“The Yiddish Policeman’s Union”. It’s very different from Ender’s Game. It’s a hard boiled detective novel set in an alternate future where the Israeli state collapsed in 1948,sending millions of refugees around the world, including the Sitka Federal District (Sitka,Alaska). It’s written in third person present tense with an omniscient narrator (I think that is the way to describe it). It reads like a noir film back in the day. It is much different fare than what I usually read, with a bit of language, but yeah,I like it. :)
